Joining the Sugarloaf PTA offers a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact on our school community. By becoming a member, you can help organize enriching programs and events that enhance the educational experience for all students. The Sugarloaf PTA also fosters strong connections between parents, teachers, and administrators, creating a supportive network dedicated to the success and well-being of our children. Additionally, your participation can bring additional resources and support to the school, ensuring a positive and nurturing environment for every student.
Sugarloaf PTA membership dues are allocated to support both broader advocacy efforts and our local initiatives. Of the dues collected, $5 is directed to the local, state, and national PTA to fund important advocacy work. The remaining amount is used to cover our operational and organizational expenses, ensuring the Sugarloaf PTA can continue to function effectively and keep the lights on.
Simple answer is NO! The only requirement to be a member of the Sugarloaf PTA is to pay the annual membership dues. Beyond that, however you choose to PTA is up to you. SuES PTA offers all parents and care givers the opportunity to be engaged in their child’s potential. From volunteering at events to participating in local, state and national advocacy efforts to holding PTA leadership roles – the level of involvement is up to you. There is no wrong way to PTA!
Membership in SuES PTA can involve as much or as little time as you have to offer. There is no wrong or right way to be involved – anything you can give, whether it’s time or money, will support your child’s potential.
PTA is for moms, dads, caregivers, grandparents, teachers and the broader community! While some of the work done by Sugarloaf PTA may appear purely social, much of PTA’s work focuses on funding essential school resources and curriculum needs, as well as advocating at the local, state and national levels, impacting decisions affecting your child’s health, safety and quality of education.
We encourage every family in the school to become a Sugarloaf PTA member to support the success of their child. We want a diverse membership base that reflects all of the families and needs of students at the school. SuES PTA strives to strengthen connections between your family, your child’s classmates and their families and teachers to build a thriving and inclusive community for everyone.
