Color Blast Fun Run

Blue Jay Families,

FUNdraising for our Color Blast Fun Run officially kicks off on Monday, October 2.  

On Thursday, Oct. 19th, students will BOLT, BLAST and BOOGIE for some fitness fun and a whole lot of memories! Our goal is to raise $20,000 to support school events, the PTA, school improvements, and the opportunity to provide all students with the very BEST educational experiences.

What is the Color Blast Fun Run?

• A school wide event in which all students and staff participate.

• An opportunity for our students to participate in an engaging FUNdraising event culminating in an outdoor Color Blast Fun Run (or walk) on October 19th.

Here's what students can get excited about:

• A high-energy event to give our school an always welcomed BLAST of fun!

• Prizes, and a little fun, friendly class and grade-level competition to rally excitement, all while helping fund the PTA, and school events and opportunities!

• All students participate whether or not they have any donations.

What do the students do for the Color Blast Fun Run?

• Leading up to the Color Blast Fun Run, students connect with friends and family to collect donations.

• Participants will walk or run, with a little bit of obstacle fun and dancing, on the day of the Color Blast Fun Run.

• On the day of the event, proudly show off their school spirit by wearing shirts, socks, headbands, and even tutu’s in the color chosen for their grade.

Grade-Level Colors:

• K – Purple

• 1st – Bright Green

• 2nd – Bright Yellow

• 3rd – Orange

• 4th – Red

• 5th – Blue Jay Blue

What do the students get from the Color Blast Fun Run?

• A TON OF FUN!

• Understanding of the importance of exercise.

• Fun, engaging character development lessons along the way.

• Appreciation of teamwork and school unity within Sugarloaf.

We have partnered with our friends at myfunrun to power our fundraiser to make it more profitable, fun and easy for everyone. We have worked closely together to ensure this event follows the safety and health guidelines of our school.

We are inviting families to join us outside to come cheer on your student, as they help our school! Families are asked to park in the car rider parking lot, where there will be signs directing you to our Family Cheering Section. 

This is a great opportunity to support our school and our Blue Jays!

Key dates & details to remember:

• Monday, October 2 - Thursday, October 19 - Registration Opens & FUNdraising Begins

• Thursday, October 19 - Color Blast Fun Run Event Day (Thursday, October 26 – Rain Date)

Remember to SAVE THE DATE! Volunteers will be needed! 

All volunteers must complete the Volunteer Training and Registration. (See Volunteer Sign-Up Genius for details – coming soon.)
